Nature du travail :
En partenariat avec la Régie régionale du Nunavik le Conseil Cri de la Baie-James, le Cégep Marie Victorin est responsable d’un programme de formation visant à soutenir le développement professionnel des Inuits et des Cris qui œuvrent en intervention psychosociale au Nunavik et à la Baie James.
Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, la personne recherchée devra, entre autres :
• Participer à l’élaboration des programmes visant le développement des compétences des travailleurs Inuit et Cris œuvrant en travail social et en éducation spécialisée dans le réseau de la santé et des services sociaux du Nunavik et à la Baie James;
• Élaborer des formations adaptées et le matériel didactique soutenant le développementde compétences en intervention psychosociale;
• Animer des formations et assurer l’encadrement des Inuits et des Cris œuvrant dans le réseau de la santé et des services sociaux;
• Procéder à l’évaluation des acquis professionnels des participants Inuit et Cris;
• Fournir un appui professionnel aux participants par des communications téléphoniques, par courriel et par visioconférence.
Exigences :
• Formation universitaire de premier cycle en travail social, en psychoéducation ou dans un domaine connexe à l’intervention professionnelle;
• Maîtrise des compétences d’intervention psychosociale;
• Expérience en enseignement est un atout;
• Expérience d’intervention auprès des communautés autochtones est un atout;
• Excellente capacité de communication et d’empathie;
• Sens de l’innovation et grande capacité d’adaptation;
• Disponibilité pour de nombreux déplacements au Nunavik ou sur le territoire de la Baie James;
• Capacité à travailler avec les plateformes de communication virtuelle;
• Anglais essentiel tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.

Salaire annuel : de 45 000$ à 85 000$ plus prime nordique

JOB OFFER: Trainer in psychosocial intervention - Nunavik
Job summary:
With the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services and the Cree Board of Health and Social Services, Cégep Marie-Victorin provides professional training programs to Inuit and Cree psychosocial workers of the regions of Nunavik and James Bay.
Among other things, you will be called upon to:
• Take part in the development of training programs focussed on the professional growth of Inuit and Cree psychosocial workers working in the Health and Social Services fields;
• Build trainings tailored to the Inuit and Cree clientele as well as the teaching material facilitating the development of the psychosocial workers’ professional skills;
• Conduct trainings and mentor Inuit and Cree psychosocial workers who work in the field of Health and Social Services;
• Evaluate the skills acquired by the participants of our programs;
• Provide mentorship and professional supervisions to the participants over the phone, by e-mail of video-calls.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Psychoeducation, Psychology or in any other discipline relevant to the field of professional intervention.
• To possess practical skills in psychosocial intervention.
• Teaching experience is an asset.
• Experience in intervention with Indigenous Communities is an asset.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and to display empathy.
• Be innovative and have adaptation skills.
• Be available to regularly travel to Nunavik and James Bay.
• Ability to work with different virtual communication platforms.
• English essential, both orally and in writing.
• The proper use of the Microsoft Office suite.
