We are looking for a Digital Media Sales Professional to join our Montreal Advertising Sales team who brings strong agency and marketer relationships and a proven track record of revenue growth. You are a strong collaborator who builds relationships both in-market and internally to deliver creative solutions and outcomes for your clients. You know how to lead a sales conversation with marketers, planners and buyers to understand needs and requirements to drive meaningful results.

As an Account Manager in our Montreal advertising sales team, you will leverage your expertise in digital media sales and The Globe and Mail's strong omnichannel offering (digital, audio, print, events) to creative deliver and data solutions to drive revenue growth. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and grow an established business portfolio and develop new business to achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team, quarterly and annual revenue goals and sales key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop Globe Media Group's profile and influence key decision makers within agencies and directly with clients.
  • Prospecting and Developing New Business: Building new relationships and driving new business growth from net new accounts and new lines of business within active accounts.
  • Commitment to excellence in sales disciplines including pipeline management, forecasting and customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Use a consultative sales approach to uncover customer needs and insights to develop your solutions to deliver optimal business outcomes for customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop digital solutions and deliver winning propositions that meet and exceed customer needs and expectations.
  • Work with the Content Studio, Data, Creative Studio, Product, Operations, Media and Digital Strategists teams and the Revenue Management teams, to deliver meaningful solutions to advertisers.
  • Utilize and work collaboratively with internal resources to effectively manage customer expectations and performance objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or related college diploma with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related field (Advertising, Marketing, Media Sales)
  • Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with peers and team to achieve goals.
  • Strong track record of success in achieving sales and revenue goals.
  • Strong strategic account planning skills to develop, retain and grow business.
  • Established relationships with agency planners, buyers, key influencers and senior client-facing marketing executives.
  • Experience and understanding of data, programmatic marketing and performance marketing is a plus.
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to being at the forefront of industry trends, from technology to privacy and regulations impacting the advertising landscape.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively within internal and external organizations.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in business to business and business to consumer communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
