Location of employment: Montréal, QC

Purpose of Job: The Print Media Buyer will be responsible for actualizing monthly media blocking charts, inputting IO”s into the system and liaison with the accounting team to ensure billing is accurate

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Inputting and issuing insertion orders to all print vendors
  • Monitoring campaigns to ensure accuracy and delivery
  • Working with planning team to prepare client reports
  • Write and issue discrepancy forms when supplier invoice(s) does not match what is in the system
  • Clear any outstanding discrepancies
  • Key contact with vendors and vendor accounting teams when discrepancies come up
  • Work with planners to ensure print budgets are tracking and aligned to monthly spend
  • Ability to coordinate, evaluate and negotiate with Print media vendors and evaluate campaigns from month-to-month
  • Research and propose recommendations for new markets including industry resources – target audiences, characteristics, behavior and media habits

SKILLS AND BEHAVIOUR:

  • Ability to work under strict deadlines for monthly advertisement plans and placement
  • Must be able to prioritize projects depending on flight dates/client meetings
  • Strong ability to work independently, self-motivated, problem solver
  • Capacity to maintain positive working relationships with media vendors
  • Great with numbers and spreadsheet management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years in media agency or related field would be an asset
  • Experience working in traditional media billing would be an asset
  • Knowledge of the media industry and how agency operate is an asset
