The responsibilities of this position require the combination of a strong, fashion-focused graphic design background with proven team leading ability. Reporting to the Vice President of Creative and Event Production, this position leads a team of graphic designers and copywriters who are responsible for producing a broad variety of marketing assets including on-site graphics, Web page designs, promotional emails, Web banner campaigns, printed marketing and trade show collateral, social media channel maintenance, and corporate design/communications projects. The Senior Graphic Designer/Manager of the Creative Department designer must be able to coordinate and work on multiple projects under tight, overlapping deadlines while maintaining a consistently high quality level of department work.

Responsibilities
• Provide leadership in terms of brand visual design, style, and consistency
• Lead a Creative team consisting of graphic designers and copywriters
• Translate business objectives into impactful, effective creative executions
• Produce fresh, exciting creative executions while respecting visual identity parameters
• Be a strong team player who respects the challenges faced by internal customers.

Qualifications
• Strong design portfolio which demonstrates a mix of broad Web site and print work
• Relevant university or college degree
• Minimum of seven years of experience in commercial graphic design: online and print
• Strong knowledge of Web page design from a user-experience perspective
• Team management experience including hiring, coaching, and performance evaluation
• Experience in a fashion environment or company is a must
• Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver
• Proven expertise in all elements of commercial graphic design
• Thorough knowledge of online, email, and print production processes
• Photography direction experience a plus
• Strong organizational abilities
• Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking combined with acute attention to detail
• Ability to coordinate delivery of multiple projects under tight, overlapping deadlines
• Strong communication/presentation skills both verbal and written
• Bilingual.
