Traducteur (trice)/interprète (Inuktitut)

Sous l’autorité de l’adjoint à la direction générale et sous la supervision de la coordonnatrice des communications, la personne détentrice de ce poste traduit tout document de l’anglais à l’inuktitut et de l’inuktitut à l’anglais. Elle agit aussi à titre d’interprète lors des séances du conseil d’administration, séances de l’exécutif du conseil d’administration et pourrait être également appelé à agir comme interprète dans toutes autres rencontres organisées par la Régie.
Qualifications recherchées :
- Excellente connaissance de l’inuktitut et de l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit;
- Connaissance de la suite Office;
- Connaissance des logiciels de traduction, un atout important.
Les candidats bénéficiaires de la Convention de la Baie-James et du Nord québécois (CBJNQ) auront priorité.

The NRBHSS’ mission is to contribute to the development, improvement and maintenance of the Nunavik population’s health and well-being and to ensure access to health and well-being services adapted to the population’s needs and particularities. That mission is pursued in close collaboration with the health centres, community organizations and partners in the economic, social, cultural, education and municipal sectors of the Nunavik region.
We are seeking a:
Translator/Interpreter (Inuktitut)
(Employee status or contract-basis)

Reporting to the Assistant to the Executive Director and the supervision of the communications coordinator, the incumbent will translate documents from English to Inuktitut and from Inuktitut to English. The incumbent will also provide interpretation services during meetings of the Board of Directors and its executive committee, and may be asked to serve as an interpreter for various other meetings organized by the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services.
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of Inuktitut and English (oral and written);
- Knowledge of the Office suite;
- Knowledge of translation software programs considered a major asset.
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) shall receive priority.
