What makes a video project manager at Luxury Retreats? You will report directly to our Director, Videography and Creative Content and assist you in capturing the Luxury Retreats experience by managing a creative cinematographic production team. Following the progress of our video projects from conception to conclusion, you will play an essential role in producing high quality video content for our website, television and social media.

You think you have what it takes? Here's what you'll need to provide:

  • Participate in the definition of preferences and requirements and analyze the video needs of Luxury Retreats throughout the company;
  • Participate in the assessment of the feasibility of video projects based on budgets, resources and deadlines;
  • Participate in the design and drafting of project specifications and prepare a structured description of project needs;
  • Manage the videography team to ensure that each project is completed on time and on budget;
  • Manage resources by identifying needs in terms of personnel, equipment and tools needed to meet project needs;
  • Coordinate and participate in pre-production activities including scenario, filming parameters, cost estimation, budgeting and scheduling;
  • Ensure the links between the internal / external client and the project team during the realization of the video project;
  • Delegate tasks within the videography team, maintain communication among the various team members and ensure that members communicate with each other;
  • Document the progress of the project in writing and present advances to the Videography Director and internal / external clients;
  • Direct and support the Production Coordinator in his duties, including finance, bidding, contract negotiation, procurement of equipment, etc .;
  • Participate in the preparation and negotiation of contracts with external suppliers and review the quality of vendor deliverables.

Who you are and what you have accomplished:

  • 5 or more years experience managing a videography team and managing video projects;
  • Strong knowledge of the process of preproduction, production and editing of video;
  • A Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Communications or other related field will be considered an asset;
  • Strong needs analysis skills in a video project management framework;
  • Good knowledge of tools and software used in project management;
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs and similar video editing programs;
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to delegate and organize a creative team;
  • Be willing and comfortable to travel and work in different regions.
