Social Media Intern

Smartcut Agency provides customized, cost-effective, and timely solutions for overseas audiovisual productions. We supervise seasoned local crews in over 60 countries, taking charge of the logistics required to bring our clients’ film and video projects to successful completion. We partner on productions, reducing our clients’ needs for overseas travel, while ensuring they maintain control of their projects. 

The Social Media Intern will assist in enhancing the Smartcut brand and build strong online communities through various social media platforms. The Social Media Intern will be responsible for developing and administering social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between clients, suppliers, connectors, and the company. 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team to develop social media campaigns that help to achieve marketing goals
  • Collaborate with the business development team to develop social media campaigns that help to connect with leads and potential clients
  • Assist the business development team with market intelligence by using social media
  • Participate in creating content for external communications with social media, both in French and English
  • Monitor the company’s social media accounts and offer constructive interaction with users
  • Analyze the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy and offer reports to the management and executive teams that outline any necessary changes to the digital marketing plan 

Requirements

  • University degree in a related field
  • Fluent in both French and English (both spoken and written)
  • Demonstrated interest in social media, communications, marketing, and business development
  • Highly organized, attentive to details, and autonomous
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently on small projects and work collaboratively on large projects
  • Capacity to work and adapt to an environment where priorities can evolve quickly
  • Knowledge of the media and audiovisual industry, both on the local and international level (an asset)
  • Proficiency in a third language (an asset) 

Conditions

  • Compensation is offered (to be discussed)
  • Duration: 3 months (Winter 2017)
  • University credits offered (hours can be determined accordingly)
