Voxco is looking for an experienced content writer to fill our newly-created position of Content/Communications manager. 

As part of the marketing team, the successful candidate will help develop a company-wide communications strategy, manage an editorial calendar and will write high value content across multiple channels. All with the objective of creating marketing communications/assets that engage leads & clients, help move prospects through the funnel, and drive conversion.

Voxco is an entrepreneurial company and this is a hands-on job. 

What you would do:

  • Work closely with marketing team to develop company-wide communication strategy.
  • Lead discussions/brainstorming sessions with internal subject matter experts to develop content themes that convert into informative, educational content.  
  • Proactively contribute ideas for marketable content and communication.
  • Define editorial objectives, tone and direction. Manage editorial calendar.
  • Manage blog strategy. Contribute original content and curated content.
  • Actively manage Voxco’s social media channels (twitter, Linkedin, facebook). Share best practices and new trends with internal teams.
  • Write compelling business and technical copy for multiple channels, including product collateral, presentations, case studies, website, blog posts, social media, videos and press releases.
  • Monitor industry news channels for relevance to Voxco.
  • Ensure SEO best practices are being applied. Monitor and analyse ROI on communication strategies.
  • Work with tech support team on technical communication to Voxco clients.
  • Develop and manage network of freelance copy writers.

Skills/ Requirements

  • A degree in Journalism, Marketing, and/or Communication.
  • 5+ years experience in marketing communication/content creation. Preference in B2B, technology.
  • Excellent English-written skills is a must.
  • Experience writing and producing content assets (case studies, white papers, etc.) from both a business and technical perspective.
  • Succinct writing style. Skilled at both long form and snappy, action oriented copy writing.
  • Firm grasp of SEO principles and best practices.
  • A strong preference will be given to candidates with superb writing and editing skills demonstrated by a portfolio of work.
  • Familiarity with Wordpress is an asset.
  • Strong project management skills.  Creative, yet also passionate about getting the details right.
  • Self-motivated yet, work well in teams.  Extremely resourceful in driving projects forward.
  • Fluently bilingual in English and French.
