Proposal and Marketing Manager - Montreal 

Summary 
We are looking for an organized professional with excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will join and contribute to the development of the Promotion and Communications Team. The Proposal and Marketing Manager will work in close collaboration with the Corporate Data Manager and the Graphics/Web Manager and under the direction of the upper-management representative in order to build and implement high-quality proposals, communications and marketing strategies. 

Marketing and Communication Strategy (10-15%) 
• Collaborate actively in the formulation, integration and delivery of marketing and communication strategy and support business development and marketing activities of the firm; 
• Work closely with key stakeholders of the company to help drive FGMDA’s internal and external marketing and communications strategy; 
• Plan and develop communications objectives, strategies and methods in accordance with corporate goals and strategic priorities and provide regular briefings to senior management on progress in fulfilling the plan; 
• Develop and share best practices to execute a consistent message about the firm. 

Service Proposal Process (70-80%) 
• Be responsible for the service proposal process (public and private sectors); 
• Oversee online procurement search (via Buyandsell, MERX, Biddingo, SEAO, etc.), distribution and tracking; communicate specific Request for Proposal (RFP) parameters, as need be; 
• Plan and organize each proposal structure and delivery schedule, based on RFP content; 
• Coordinate the proposal team members, manage communications with team members (internal and external) and respective material to be provided by them; 
• Balance proposal team workload and provide solution when the team members are at capacity; 
• Provide professional writing, editing and coordination of communication products; 
• Integrate all material into a cohesive product with support from the Graphics/Web Manager; 
• Ensure timely delivery of all service proposals; 
• Define the Proposal Tool Kit requirements and coordinate with the Corporate Data Manager for content; 
• Provide weekly reports to senior management on proposals. 

Communications planning and Promotional Documents (10-15%) 
• Work directly with corporate managers and project managers within a diverse set of firm expertise and clientele in order to align promotional material (e.g. website; general, specific or targeted brochures; business cards) with the marketing strategy; 
• Provide professional writing, editing and coordination of communication products such as advertisements and press releases; 
• Contribute to planning Promotional Collateral Material such as Conference Abstracts, Sponsorships, Awards Submissions, Ads and Brochures; 
• Coordinate the information with project teams in order to respond to external communication requests related to marketing and proposals. 

Required profile 
• Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or another related field; 
• Minimum 5 years in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction field or comparable professional/design firms (2 years coordinating a team); 
• Excellent English and French writing, editing and grammar skills; 
• Experience in Marketing project management; 
• Experience managing relationships with external service providers and procurement agencies; 
• Experience in managing multiple tight production deadlines in a fast-paced environment; 
• Comfortable coordinating and motivating multiple contributors, many of whom are senior level individuals; 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint; 
• Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suites (CS6).
